"All
Fragrance Oils Are Not Created Equal"
There are many different grades of
Fragrance Oils on the market today. Fragrance Oils can be made with
many different and complex ingredients, some simple and others not.
So you may ask, "How can other suppliers sell all of their fragrance
oils at the same price per pound?" Well, this is where the different
grades of Fragrance Oils come into play. The manufacturers have to
create a lower grade to keep the cost down to the supplier. They are
still considered uncut from the supplier's point of view and market
them accordingly. Have you ever wondered why some candles will smoke
up your container more than others? This can be caused by a lower
grade of Fragrance Oil.
One more important note, More is
Not Better when it comes to fragrance oils in a candle. All
waxes will only hold a maximum of anywhere from 4% to 8% (up to 1
1/4 ounce) of fragrance oil before you start having problems. Some
of the common problems with adding too much fragrance oil are; wick
clogs while burning (mushrooming), fragrance oil bleeds out of the
wax, low flame or flame keeps going out, low scent throw, just to
name a few. So, you can see how much better your products will be
with a more Superior Grade Fragrance Oil that requires less.
We search diligently for a Superior
Grade and Quality Fragrance Oil from our many different
manufacturers that is best suited for candle making, soap making and
bath & body products. Every Fragrance Oil is personally tested in
our lab to ensure that it meets or exceeds our specifications.
We strive to offer you a Superior Grade Fragrance Oil so you can
create the best finished product, which will keep your customers
returning for more, time and again!
Our
Superior Grade Fragrance Oils can be used on average
at 2% to 4% (or 1/2 ounce average) per pound of wax and work well in
all type of candle waxes.
Also, please don't judge the candle scents
by just simply smelling them out of the bottle, as you will mainly
smell the top notes and miss the other complex notes that come alive
in the candle wax.
Fragrance Oils will have a much better scent throw
after curing in
Soy Wax
for at least 3 to 15 days. The longer the cure, the better the
throw. Try using our
Coconut Oil
to assist with a stronger scent throw in soy and soy blend container
waxes. It will also help soy candles to cure faster.
